Hans W. Blom

Hans W. Blomwas born in 1947 in Zandwoort.
He is currently a professor of political philosophy at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His major fields of interest include thinkers like Hugo Grotius or Thomas Hobbes, and topics like early modern Stoicism or virtue politics. Professor Blom has also been the editor-in-chief of the journal, Grotiana since 1998.Stephan Ehrenpreis

Stefan Ehrenpreis was born 1961 in
Cologne. He obtained his PhD in 1998 at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, and worked for the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin between 1998-2007.
In his habilitation in 2008, he was observing the topic of elementary schooling in the
Empire, the Dutch Republic and England between 1600-1800.
Between 2009-2012, he was a professor of
Early Modern History at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München, and since 2014
he has been a professor of early modern history at the Leopold-Franzens-Universität in Innsbruck.
In his publications, he mainly discusses the topics of the history of the Holy Roman Empire and the Habsburgs, the history of confessionalization, history of education and history of European expansion.
